Goodbye 2013! Hello 2014

2013 was a great year!

Here are a few of the things that happened:

Both of my sisters got married.
We found out Trisha is expecting a baby in February!
Our friends Justin and Amanda got married.
Our friends Katie and Kevin had a baby.
Our cousins Dustin and Jenna had a baby.
We made a huge decision to move to Dalhart. It has been a great decision.
We purchased land to build the home of our dreams.
We went to San Francisco and Napa Valley.

I can not wait to see what 2014 has to offer us!! :)

Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas!!! I hope everyone had a very blessed Christmas. We were blessed to get to spend time with all of our family. I love these memories that we are making with them.

I made my first homemade gift for my mom and I think she loved it

Ok, so I am not a professional! lol! Although I like to think I am. 

It was my first time to make a wreath. All that matters is that she loved it!

Our Pups

So we lived without our pups for 3 months! It is like leaving a child. It is a good thing that they liked staying with my mother in law. We would have been in debt if we had to pay to kennel them. We missed them so much. We are so excited to have them back with us. They don't really like to have their pictures taken. :)

Land..

So we started the process of buying our land about 7 weeks ago. The person who was working on our land loan was never there, so our paperwork was just sitting on his desk. So disturbing. But that is ok, the great things are worth waiting for. I am pretty sure our builder may have thought that we didn't have the money.  LOL
We  just got word that we get to close on the land on Monday!!!! YEAH!!!
Hopefully we can get our foundation laid before the end of the year. I am super excited.
I am loving this season of our life! :)

Questions we are asked about Dalhart...

Things that we get asked about Dalhart...

1. Why in the world did you ever decide to move to Dalhart? (when this question gets asked it also comes with a look that says "are you crazy!!")
  - Jared got an amazing job opportunity and the good Lord was telling us that is where we are suppose              go.

2. So, how do you like it?
  - We love it. It is more laid back and slower paced. All of these things are great for us, considering we are homebodies. lol

3. Do you have a job?
  - I just started my job on November 12, I am working at Texas A & M Agrilife Extension Office. I am still and will always be a Tech fan, but you have to take what you get sometimes. :)

4. How does Jared like his job?
  - He loves it. I think it is his dream job.

5. When are you going to have kids?
  - Who knows. One day and it will be a big surprise to everyone. I am pretty sure that my family is taking bets on when we will have kids or if we will.. gotta love them. 

Let the move begin....

So we have some amazing friends that were so sweet and helped us move!!! Thanks Justin and Maura.. we love y'all and are so blessed to have y'all as friends. By the way moving is for the birds!! Lol

We are renting for now because we have decided to build! I guess that means we will be here for a while. I am just grateful to have a roof over our head until we can start to build.
