Selling the house...

So, I thought I was going to flip out when we had the for sale sign in our yard, but I didn't. We put the house on the market on Friday, August 23 and it SOLD on Wednesday,  August 28. CRAZY!! We didn't even have the for sale sign in our yard until Thursday morning.
So it was from this:

To this in 1 day!!

Our house, then and now

We have lived in out house for 4 1/2 years. It will be sad to leave. It has become a home.
This is when we moved in, in April 2009:

 And now:

There is not that much change. But it has became ours.

Some changes in our life....

A couple months ago Jared was offered a job to work at an accounting firm with the possibility of buying in to become a partner. We debated on this issue for months. We would have to move to Dalhart - which is a little town consisting of about 8,000 people and not many restaurants, no Starbucks, no Taco Villa, no Target no movie theater, you see what I am talking about. So it was a huge decision.
We like Lubbock because of our church and the university. If we want to go to a game we can, go eat out, we can. We will not have those opportunities in Dalhart, but we would have a close knit community, smaller schools and the ability to grow closer to God and each other because we won't have so many distractions. This is a great opportunity for Jared, it is what he has wanted to do. The owner of the firm is a great Christian man.

So after months of consideration we are MOVING!! I didn't really think that I would be saying that, I mean he wasn't looking for a new job and we had no intentions of selling our house. But God works in mysterious ways and this is what he wants us to do and Dalhart is where he wants us to be for now.

So the cleaning, packing and honey do list begin and soon we will have a FOR SALE sign in our yard... yikes. I am not sure that all of this has hit me yet, but when it does I am sure it is not going to be pretty. :)

Fredericksburg 2013

So we took our annual trip to Fredericksburg. It is one of my all time favorite places to relax. I get so much R&R while I am down there. We stay out in the country and are able to see wildlife and hear all of God's creatures talking. It is just so peaceful. The house we stay at is my dream house. It has a wrap around porch, a swimming pool and land all around it. My favorite time is around dawn and dusk. I just sit out there and read books all week long. Jared and I usually go to a couple wineries and I like to hit up Circle E candles because they smell so good. This trip consist of sangria, beer, food and relaxation. Who wouldn't want that?! :)

Baby Kallen Kinder

So, our friends Katie and Kevin had a baby in July. He is the most adorable baby!! I just love the little guy and I wish I could see more.

SAN FRAN!!!

So this year was our 5 year anniversary and for the past couple years I have wanted to go to Napa Valley. So when our friends asked us to go on a trip with them, I jumped at the opportunity to suggest that we go to Napa! Everyone agreed that, that is where we should go. We started saving because we all know that is an expensive trip.
So we planned our trip. We were going to be there for 4 days. So we stayed in San Francisco for one night and we had one full day there so we went to Fisherman's Warf and China Town. There is so much to do there. We had planned to go to see Alcatraz, but the tickets were sold out until the middle of August, and we wanted to go to the Red Woods but didn't have enough time.
We wanted to go to a Giants game but we quickly realized we did not pack warm enough clothes to be sitting at a ballpark when it is 60 degrees outside and there is a breeze coming off of the bay.

We stayed in Healdsburg for two nights and went to a couple wineries. Then we stayed in Napa for one night. I can not express how pretty it is there. You see vineyards for miles and miles. The wineries spend so much money on their buildings, but they are gorgeous!!

Some of the wineries we went to were: Bogle, Kunde,Sterling, Artesa and there were a few other.

This was one of the favorite trips and I am already planning for the next time we go, I am not sure when that will be, but we are going again!!! :)

This is going to be picture overload, sorry. :)
