6 Years!!!

Today is our 6 year anniversary!! Time has flown. There have been a lot of ups and downs. Good times and bad times. But it has been worth it. I look at those hard times as obstacles that we have faced, we have learned to let God in when we have victories and when we have troubles.  I love this guy more everyday and miss his tremendously when I don't see him. We have grown closer together and he is my best friend.

Lately...

The past couple weeks have been quite eventful around our house.
First, it is tax season and super busy!!
We took our dogs to the vet to get their annual shots and our pug has a reaction and had to stay at the vet and have oxygen.
About a week later our pug is coughing and gagging all night log. So he gave us medicine for her cough.
On Thursday we came home to our dog looking like this.... something had bit her, it was after hours and our vet was out of town!! We were about to head to Amarillo to take her to the emergency vet when our vet called back. He is such a GREAT vet. We had medicine at the house to give her and she looks so much better.

On the house front we are patiently waiting for the slab guy to get started, hopefully next week.

Haylee Grace

Haylee Grace graced us with her presence on Monday, February 3, 2014. She is adorable. I am so in love with her.

Patience

I have had to learn to have patience with this house building project.

Getting everything in order to build has been a crazy experience, to say the least!!! We have learned that living in a small town is great until it comes to building a house. We have gotten everything lined out now and if all goes well would should close on March 21st!!

We remembered that when we want something that it doesn't always happen on our time, it happens on GOD'S TIME. We may not like it that way, since our society is so impatient. It has taught me that great things come with patience.

So for all of my friends that are waiting for something great to happen, I just want to tell you that it will, maybe not when you want it to, but it will happen!

But is we hope for what we want we do not see, we wait for it with patience. -Romans 8:25

House Update

So for an update on the land..

Our plans are finished, the dirt has been moved and we have staked out where the foundation will be laid. Just a couple more things to iron out and we will be ready to lay the foundation.

Goodbye 2013! Hello 2014

2013 was a great year!

Here are a few of the things that happened:

Both of my sisters got married.
We found out Trisha is expecting a baby in February!
Our friends Justin and Amanda got married.
Our friends Katie and Kevin had a baby.
Our cousins Dustin and Jenna had a baby.
We made a huge decision to move to Dalhart. It has been a great decision.
We purchased land to build the home of our dreams.
We went to San Francisco and Napa Valley.

I can not wait to see what 2014 has to offer us!! :)

Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas!!! I hope everyone had a very blessed Christmas. We were blessed to get to spend time with all of our family. I love these memories that we are making with them.
